تعاون علمي مرتقب بين وزارة الهجرة والجامعة الأميركية في العراق / السليمانية لدراسة الهجرة والتغير المناخي

استقبلت وزيرة الهجرة والمهجرين السيدة إيڨان فائق جابرو، اليوم، وفداً من الجامعة الأميركية في العراق/ السليمانية بمقر الوزارة وسط بغداد، لبحث أطر التعاون المشترك بين الجانبين في المجالات البحثية والعلمية.

وجرى خلال اللقاء، الاتفاق على إعداد إطار تعاون مشترك من المؤمل توقيعه خلال الأيام المقبلة، يتضمن تنفيذ بحوث ودراسات علمية تتعلق بملف الهجرة الخارجية، إلى جانب ظاهرتي التصحر والجفاف وتأثيراتهما الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.

وأكدت الوزيرة خلال اللقاء، أهمية توحيد الجهود الأكاديمية والحكومية في معالجة الملفات الإنسانية والبيئية، مشيرةً إلى أن التعاون مع المؤسسات التعليمية الرصينة يسهم في وضع حلول مستدامة تستند إلى نتائج علمية دقيقة.

Expected Scientific Cooperation Between the Ministry of Migration and the American University of Iraq/Sulaimani to Study Migration and Climate Change

Minister of Migration and Displacement, Mrs. Evan Faiq Jabro, received a delegation from the American University of Iraq/Sulaimani today at the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad to discuss frameworks for joint cooperation between the two sides in the fields of research and science.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop a joint cooperation framework, which is expected to be signed in the coming days. This framework includes the implementation of scientific research and studies related to the issue of external migration, as well as the phenomena of desertification and drought and their social and economic impacts.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of unifying academic and governmental efforts in addressing humanitarian and environmental issues, noting that cooperation with reputable educational institutions contributes to developing sustainable solutions based on accurate scientific findings.
